Just because you bought it with your money doesn't mean YOU HAVE to play it, especially after realizing the bad patterns in it.
Also, just because you spent hundreds and thousands of hours without realizing the bad patterns or how it was harming you in some way doesn't mean you should justify playing or even defending it.
It's alright to make mistakes, it's alright to realize later or even give yourself the breathing space to realize the mistake even if it threatens your past behavior.
