I thought I needed Thunderbolt port for this to function but as it turns out it works for even lower ports. And if the usb port supports display output, it won't take up the bandwidth on the USB port thereby freeing up the extra bandwidth for everything else. Power is another issue however.
For the price it's pretty great. It requires a lot of testing from my friends and families but I have already connected another 7 USB hub to this and connected 7 devices there and ethernet here also. My laptop's USB ports are broken so can't use HDMI for now.

(Didn't use on a recommended thunderbolt port but a normal USB Port on HP AMD gaming laptop and his PC and other devices as mentioned below):

Notes for dock:
- Build quality is good, aluminium build, I dropped it 3 times by mistake, nothing happened, did not affect functionality

- Sd card slot works well (both micro sd and the normal sd card one)

- When transferring files to external hdd, the speed is capped to around 40 MBps inspite of using other ports at the same time, basically the dock dosent chowk down if you use all ports.

- Hdmi output of port works well and was able to give more 100 hz refresh rate on my external monitor

Final thoughts:
It's a capable dock and better than the cheaper alternatives which don't give as much options.
However only downside is out of the box ethernet wont work unless you use/run a script and when trying it in Samsung dex with my s21 ultra phone I was not able to get the ethernet port working either.

Will tell you all about it even the obvious.

1. Filled every port of the hub with wires and it worked fine. No issues charging a device or using an external mouse or keyboard or the ethernet connection.

~~2. I wasn't able to get it to charge my tribit portable speaker.. charging light blinked rapidly instead of staying on the entire time..~~ Connected to the power input port accidentally.

~~3. Tried connecting two of my otg supported phones to my Mi tv through the hub to cast my screen but wasn't successful either... It just showed a black screen Instead of no signal.~~ Both phones were USB 2.0 with no display output (OnePlus Nord 4 CE & Nord 4. It worked on Samsung Galaxy Ultra S21 & S24 who support it)

4. Connected a monitor and my laptop to my mi tv and it worked flawlessly... No major input delay or screen tearing... smooth experience.

5. Had a problem with the hub like when i connected my hub to my laptop, every device (keyboard,mouse,sd card) connected and worked flawlessly but when i disconnected my hub and reconnected it to my laptop multiple times... After certain tries the hub stops working entirely... Blue Light blinks but every device connected through the ports just stops working and won't connect to the laptop unless i restart the laptop.

Me: "Just tested this. No issues on my end. However I can't figure out why his one will have issues yet"

6. Some ports especially the type A ones were quite flimsy to use. No connection problem even when i wiggled it. Just seemed a little loose.. tho for desk use you won't really be disconnecting and connecting it regularly so fine overall. It's not about wiggliness but the fact that if you connect large number of high powered devices and your USB port doesn't give much power by itself, you need to power it externally otherwise you will keep feeling something is wrong with your unit.
