Got the laptop, brother!

So far, so good, brother. The display is top-notch!

I followed the setup guide completely and did everything according to that.

Haven't played too many games yet.

I ran the Lenovo Diagnostics (Evolution) test fully.

Also tried Prime95 and Furmark, but honestly, brother, I couldn't understand much.

Only did the GPU test on Furmark — the highest temperature went up to 79°C at 100% GPU usage. When I lifted the laptop a bit for proper ventilation, it stayed at 76°C even at 100% usage.

Ran Prime95 stress test for 15 minutes, but didn't understand how to monitor the core temperatures. I was using HWInfo, but couldn't make much sense of it.

Initially, the CPU package temperature went up to around 100°C when I started the combined CPU + GPU stress test, but after 2-3 minutes, it dropped to about 90°C.
Now brother, I can't be sure about these readings because this was my first time doing it, so I don't know if I monitored everything correctly.

If you can tell me the proper way to test it, I'll do it again.

Bhaiya sabse important chiz toh ye hai ki laptop long run ke liye chahiye, last laptop 2015 m liya tha aur engineering CSE- AI&ML 3rd year ka student hu toh ab le raha hu.. kam se kam 5-6-7 saal isse baahr ka kuch dekhna naa pde aisa laptop chahiye..

• Coding hoga bhaiya moderate to high level
• AI and ML bhi karunga
• Moderate to high level gaming bhi karunga, bohot regular game khelta nahi bhaiya lekin jab khelta hu toh AAA games hi khelunga so for that i need a powerful gaming laptop.
• and on compromises, I'm good to compromise with chhote chhote things if I'm getting a fair trade with it. Haan lekin display 1080p nahi chahiye bhaiya, i want a little better..

Brother, the most important thing is that I need a laptop for the long run. My last laptop was bought in 2015, and now I'm a 3rd-year CSE - AI & ML student, so I'm getting a new one now. I want a laptop that I won't have to replace for at least 5-6-7 years.
• I'll be doing moderate to high-level coding.
• I'll also be working on AI and ML.
• I'll do moderate to high-level gaming too. I don't play games very regularly, brother, but when I do, I play only AAA titles, so for that, I need a powerful gaming laptop.
• As for compromises, I'm okay with small trade-offs if it's a fair deal. But I don't want a 1080p display, brother — I want something a little better.
• I also need to learn things like MERN stack and other stuff, so that's a requirement too.

My Experience Buying used Laptop on OLX with Help from Nishant bhaiya at Make Tech Friendly India

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my first time buying a used laptop from olx.
I was looking for a laptop for my younger brother, who's about to start his computer science engineering journey.
While checking different new and used laptops we found a 1.5 years used Dell G15-5520 Gaming Laptop, Intel i5-12500H/8GB +8GB UPGRADED BY Seller DDR5/512GB SSD/Win 11 + MSO'21/NVIDIA RTX 3050 (4GB GDDR6)/15.6" (39.62cm) on OLX.
It originally listed with a price of ₹45,000, but after some good old-fashioned bargaining, we got the price down to ₹34,000.
Before finalizing anything, I reached out to Nishant bhaiya from our beloved YouTube channel.
Honestly I have only recently came across this channel and must say it is a hidden gem, and he's incredibly knowledgeable.
I contacted Nishant bhai on Instagram and told him my preferences, usecase and budget for a new laptop which was around 60-70k max.
After that I shared the olx laptop deal with nishant bhai and he straight away told me that at 60-70k budget I will get if not the same then almost the same specs of that the used laptop.
So for 34k dell g15 5220 was a good deal and I can go for it.

The concern that I and nishant bhaiya had was the same that olx is full scammtars hence trusting offline olx laptop purchase was a risky game.
But again the deal was good hence I didn't want let it go without giving it a try.
Hence I decided to meet the seller only to check the laptop in person and actual physical condition .
I made it clear on call with the seller that I am visiting his place to only examine the laptop and I can't give a surity about purchase. The seller agreed.
With Nishant bhaiya encouragement, I went ahead and met the seller . I went and completed the basic checks and so far, so good the laptop was in good condition.
Then I started negotiating again as the seller informed us that the laptop will be in 3rd hand.
Means the seller bought it from the original owner and used 6 months only and now selling us due to financial issue. After back and forth we finally agreed on ₹31,000.

Then comes the last part where I convinced the seller that for a complete checks and diagnosis of the entire laptop motherboard cpu gpu hardware parts we have to visit a known local technician shop who will check each every parts of the laptops and then only we will finalize the deal.
By god's grace the laptop was in excellent shape, and all the parts were original.
In the end, I finally bought that 1.5 year old laptop for 31k.
I'm super happy with the purchase, and I can't thank Nishant bhaiya enough.
Honestly meko jada time Mila nahi too thoroughly research this particular laptop toh maine sidha nishaant bhai ke bharose laptop purchase Kiya hai. 🙏
